The imprints
Talu is Old English for a tale told aloud — and it is the word all three of our imprints share. Eald talu, the old tale. Trewe talu, the true one. Kinder talu, the tale you read to a child. Each house keeps its own list, its own editors and its own readers. All three are built on the same craft.

Fiction · the old tale
Fiction with a long memory. We publish stories that come from lived truth and carry it forward: deep, multi-layered, redemptive, and built to last a generation. Genre is open. What sits underneath the story is what we are reading for.

R.J. Halbert
Eald Talu House publishes The Goodpasture Chronicles by R.J. Halbert — a supernatural fantasy trilogy that blends mystery, suspense, endurance, and triumph into an epic adventure. Its list is built for readers who want a series they can finish.

Non-fiction · the true tale
Non-fiction wisdom that passes between generations — expertise, faith, leadership and life story, written by people who did the work before they wrote the book.

Dr. Lee R. Long
Trewe Talu House publishes writers with a professional record behind the page. Its first title, WAIT, Where Am I in This?, comes from Dr. Lee R. Long, a licensed counsellor with more than three decades in practice.

Children's · the tale for children
Picture books and early readers for real family life, and books that hand a child something worth keeping. Read aloud, illustrated, and made to be handled.

Stage Wives
Kinder Talu House opened with Touring Tales, a series for the children of touring families, created by Stage Wives. Its books are commissioned around a need a family actually has.
